Garbhán McEnoy

Tenor 2022 -

I am studying for an MPhil in Music at Clare Hall, commencing my fourth year as a Tenor in the group. I grew up singing in various cathedral and church choirs in the North of Ireland, and alongside the Choir and The Gents, I perform a variety of singing styles, including opera and my own singer-songwriter works.

Most memorable experience singing with The Gents?

Singing “Jingle Bells” as encore to a sold-out show in Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, on tour with SJCC.

Favourite piece beyond choral music?

The score written by Nicholas Britell for the film If Beale Street Could Talk, particularly the track “Agape”, is some of the most stunningly atmospheric music I have ever encountered.
