Sarah Reid

Alto 2024 -

I am now a second year Choral Volunteer at St John’s, while studying Philosophy at Robinson College. I began my musical journey as a chorister at Peterborough Cathedral, and then moved on to be a senior girl chorister at Newcastle Cathedral, before singing as an Alto Choral Scholar at Hereford Cathedral.

Favourite Gents’ arrangement?

Our former Organ Scholar George Herbert’s masterful arrangement of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon and Garfunkel.

What are you most looking forward to in the 2025/6 season?

I am most looking forward to singing some of the annual choir repertoire, such as Duruflé’s Requiem, Dove’s Missa Brevis, and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. I am also looking forward to singing Bach’s St John Passion and going on tours throughout the year.
